Crown moulding size typically depends on ceiling height and the overall scale of the room.
8 ft ceilings: 4” to 6” crown moulding
9 ft ceilings: 5” to 7” crown moulding
10 ft+ ceilings: 6” to 8”+ crown moulding
When it comes to baseboards, you generally want to scale proportionally with ceiling height as well. Larger baseboards often work better than undersized ones, especially in modern homes.
It’s also more forgiving to go slightly larger with baseboards than crown moulding, as baseboard sits flat on the wall, while crown projects outward and becomes more visually dominant.
Most of our mouldings are available in standard lengths, typically around 12 feet, depending on the profile and supplier.

Installation time depends on the size of the project, layout complexity, and the type of work being completed.
Smaller jobs may be completed in a single day, while larger or more detailed projects can take longer.
Typical lead times are approximately 2–3 weeks, but this can vary depending on the season and current workload.
Painting is not included in our installation services.
All MDF mouldings come primed and ready for paint. We typically recommend completing installation first and allowing everything to settle before painting for the best final result.

Crown moulding sits at an angle between the wall and ceiling, which requires more precise angle cuts and positioning. Baseboard sits flat against the wall and is generally more straightforward to install.
Because of this, crown moulding installation typically requires more experience and precision.
